4th Street Gardens: Modern Townhomes in the Heart of St. Pete's Old Southeast Neighborhood
If you’re looking for a blend of modern design and a laid-back location, 4th Street Gardens in the Old Southeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg should be on your radar. This new development offers two sleek buildings, each with five units, separated by a central entrance driveway. The townhomes are all three stories tall, featuring expansive 1,000 sq. ft. rooftop terraces—the perfect spot to enjoy stunning sunsets or your morning coffee.
Each unit is thoughtfully designed with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a spacious 2-car garage equipped with an electric vehicle charger. On the first floor, you’ll find the garage and a guest bedroom with its own bathroom, making it ideal for visiting friends or a convenient home office.
On the second floor, the open-concept living space feels expansive, with 10-foot ceilings flooding the area with natural light. Now, let’s talk about the kitchen—it's not just a place to cook, it's where culinary magic happens. Picture sleek, modern stainless steel appliances paired with quartz countertops that seem to sparkle in the light. Whether you're whipping up a quick weekday dinner or hosting a full-on feast, this space has the kind of design and layout that makes cooking feel like an experience, not just a task. Entertaining? No problem. The flow between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces is perfect for gathering friends and family.

Heading up to the third floor, you’ll find two more bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The primary suite is a real retreat, designed with relaxation in mind. Throughout the townhomes, you’ll enjoy luxury vinyl flooring and PGT Impact-rated windows, giving you extra peace of mind during Florida's storm season.
But one of the standout features of these townhomes is the 1,000-square-foot rooftop terrace. Whether you’re sipping your coffee in the morning or hosting a sunset gathering with friends, the views are unbeatable.
Location Perks – Old Southeast Charm
4th Street Gardens isn’t just about the homes—it’s about where they’re located. The Old Southeast neighborhood is one of St. Pete’s best-kept secrets. Known for its laid-back vibe and charming historic bungalows, this area offers a slower pace of life while still being just a quick bike ride from downtown.
Bartlett Park is right across the street, offering everything from open green spaces, basketball courts, and a community garden to a playground and athletic fields. Plus, the Frank W. Pierce Recreation Center and the St. Petersburg Tennis Center offer tons of opportunities for outdoor activities like tennis, fitness classes, and youth sports. Bartlett Park is also a local favorite for fishing along Salt Creek, and the adjacent McMullen Fish House at 1700 4th St. South is perfect for grabbing fresh seafood and bait. The Fish House plans to add a waterfront bar, food truck, and even a kayak and small boat dock in the future.
Dining and Local Gems
When it comes to dining, you’re in for a treat. Just a couple of blocks away is one of my all-time favorite local spots, The Chattaway. With its cozy, tropical outdoor setting, live music, and fire pits on cooler nights, The Chattaway has been serving up good vibes and award-winning burgers for over 90 years! If you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve entered an authentic English tea room, a nod to the restaurant’s British roots.
Looking for something with a bit more spice? Nueva Cantina is also nearby, offering fresh Latin American cuisine and some of the best margaritas in town. Their colorful, mural-covered walls and patio bar make it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or drinks with friends.
